Add Page Numbers

Automatically add "Page X of N" numbering to every page of your PDF.

Add Page Numbers numbers every page of your PDF automatically. Long reports, contracts and scanned bundles are much easier to discuss when everyone can say look at page 12 of 40.

Each page receives a label in the form Page X of N, where N is the total number of pages, so readers always know how far they are in the document. You do not need to enter anything except the file. The upload limit is 20 MB.

How to use Add Page Numbers

  1. Click the upload field and choose your PDF (up to 20 MB).
  2. Press Generate and wait a few seconds.
  3. Download the numbered PDF.
  4. Scroll through the pages to confirm the numbers look right.

Tips for better results

  • Put the pages in their final order before you add numbers, because numbering follows the current order. Use Reorder Pages or Delete Pages first if needed.
  • If you merged several files, number the merged document, not the separate parts.
  • Numbers are added to every page, including a cover page.
