Image Converter changes your pictures into the format you choose: JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF or ICO. Upload JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG or ICO files, pick the output format and download the result.
Each format suits a different job. JPG is best for photos, PNG for graphics and screenshots that need sharp edges or transparency, WEBP and AVIF for small files on websites, GIF for simple graphics, BMP and TIFF for software that expects them, and ICO for website favicons and Windows icons. When you convert to a format without transparency, such as JPG, transparent areas turn white. Pictures larger than 256 pixels are scaled down when you convert to ICO, because icons cannot be bigger than that.

Frequently asked questions
Which format should I pick for a website?
WEBP gives small files that work in all modern browsers. JPG is the safest choice for photos, and PNG for graphics with transparency.
Will converting improve quality?
No. Conversion changes how the picture is stored. It cannot restore detail that is already lost.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Select multiple files and they are returned together as a ZIP.
